International PR experts to attend UK's public relations academic conference

Top PR academics and experienced practitioners from across the world
will attend the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK) (CIPR) conference
at its headquarters in St James's Square, London on 9-10 July 2007.
The only UK conference that brings PR academic research and practice
together, it is designed to raise PR industry standards and drive the profession
forward.
Delegates will hear from speakers including Jennifer Bartlett and
Stephane Tywoniak, Queensland University; Ralph Tench, Ryan Bowd and Brian
Jones, Leeds Metropolitan University; Timothy Coombs, Eastern Illinois
University; and Majda Tafra-Vlahovic, Coca-Cola Beverages Hrvatska.
Participants will also have the opportunity to attend four breakout
sessions and to debate PR issues including 'PR and Journalism: dilemmas from the
new front line'; 'Spin or Substance in Local Government PR'; and 'Social Media
and the 'New PR''.
