German PR Association DPRG starts series of events to celebrate its 50th
birthday in 2008
DPRG, Germany's public relations organization called and some 200
PR-professional came to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The party was the first
of different meetings, congresses and other activities which will follow
throughout the year. The series will end with the official birthday party on
December 8th.
On February 16th, top-representatives of DPRG, including president Ulrich Nies,
followed the invitation of DPRG's regional group in Northern Germany.
It was a night to remember, with speeches including one of DPRG honory member
Klaus O. Skibowski, who received CERP European Award in 1992. Also delivering a
speech, Dietrich Schulze van Loon, Chairman of GPRA, Germany's consultancy
association, celebrated until late.
Guests came from all parts of Germany, including speakers of major companies,
organizations and top PR-agencies. With live music, gambling sessions, and a
midnight lottery, the night ended in early morning hours.
