Call for papers - Public
Relations Beyond Borders
2 March 2007
Present your
case, experience and knowledge at the 11th Slovene Conference on Public
Relations - Terme Olmia, 17 to 19 October 2007. Send your contributions by Thursday 15 March 2007. The main theme of the 11th Slovene Conference on Public Relations is
PUBLIC RELATIONS – BEYOND BORDERS. The aim is to point out to the
communicators that public relations excellence requires a look "over"
the obstacles, beyond borders of all types: Geographical borders (Slovene communicators no longer communicate only
with the local and national environment, but with the publics in a
broader international environment as well); The borders of the existing knowledge (many standard communication tools
which we have mastered in the past no longer suffice; communication
requires also creativity and innovativeness); Time borders (excellent communications have to include future
projections, knowledge of trends, etc.); Personality borders (the quality of public relations which are designed
and carried out by a communicator to a high degree depends on the
progress as regards the comprehensive development of their own
personality and charisma). What are we looking for? Interesting examples from your business practice, tested in practice,
which are not average and have crossed at least one of the borders
mentioned above or perhaps some others as well.
No more than two submitted contributions will be selected for each
topic. These two contributions will be presented at the conference,
whereas all other contributions meeting the criteria will be published
in the collection of articles.
The length of your contributions should range between 3,500 and 7,000
characters (including spaces).
They should contain the following:
- Short introduction, including the motto/message of the contribution;
- A concise description of contents (processes, example, experience,
expert/scientific analyses and findings, etc.);
- Conclusion (a theoretical/practical contribution);
- Bibliography/references.
