4 March 2008 – German PR Association DPRG starts series of events to celebrate its 50th
birthday in 2008
DPRG, Germany's public relations organization called and some 200
PR-professional came to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The party was the first
of different meetings, congresses and other activities which will follow
throughout the year. The series will end with the official birthday party on

internationally recognised professional PR qualification
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK) runs internationally recognised
professional qualifications for PR practitioners. Enrolment is open for the next

Institute for Public Relations Special Award Challenges EUPRERA 2008 Milano
Congress Contributors to Explore Personal Influence Model
A special prize for the best new research on the personal influence model of
public relations will be awarded at the 2008 EUPRERA (European
Association for Public Relations Research & Education) World Congress. The
Institute for Public Relations will fund the 500 Euro award.

The meeting will be hosted by the French associations Communication Publique
and Entreprises et Médias and will take place from 2pm to 5pm at the Conseil

will attend the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK) (CIPR) conference

Colin Farrington of CIPR takes global leadership role
Colin Farrington, director general of the Chartered Institute of Public
Relations (UK), took up the chairmanship of the Global Alliance for Public
Relations and Communication Management in Cape Town today (15 May), as CIPR
plans to host the next World Public Relations Festival in London in June 2008
